Event Limit 150 Riders
- 2012 Dates Announcement! The dates for the 2012 Fiesta Island Time Trials are set: Feb. 5th, Mar. 4th, Apr. 8th, May 13th (Mother's Day), Sep. 9th, Oct. 14th & Nov. 23rd. See the race flyer for details.
- Cost: No change in prices since 2009! $30 for individual riders, $40 for tandems, $15 for Juniors. A $5 late fee will be applied the final week of registration and towards same-day registration. Event runs rain or shine. No USCF license required. This event insured by the American Bicycle Racing Association.
- Start: The event starts promptly at 7:00 am. An air horn at the start line will announce the beginning of the event. Riders start every 30 seconds. Start ordered by category and age.
- Prizes: Custom Fiesta Island Time Trial socks from The SockGuy for the winner of each category. Collector edition FITT medals for top three in each category. Must be present at the awards ceremony immediately following the race to receive your prize.
- Prize Money: $150 CASH! $150 cash for the single rider on a standard bicycle who can beat the current 24 minute 36 second course record. $150 cash for the single female rider on a standard bicycle who can beat the current 27 minute 4 second course record.
- The Course: Fiesta Island is as flat as it gets. There is no more than 10 feet of rise on the course per lap. All riders, except young juniors, do three laps on the 'long' course to complete a distance of 20k.
- 40K Option: A 40k distance will be available for the March, April, and May events. 10 riders max. First come first serve. No prizes. This is a great opportunity to prepare for state's and nat's. $40 fee.
- Juniors: Junior Boys and Girls ages 12 and under complete 1 lap, ages 13-14 complete 2 laps, and ages 15-18 complete 3 laps. Youth 9 and under compete as a single group (boys and girls together). Parents are encouraged to ride with the youngest racers. This is a great event for juniors. The entry fee is CHEAP and the course is very safe.
- Men Merckx Class:
a. Any age over 18
b. Standard road bike only
c. Absolutely no aerobars or clip-on handlebars
d. Absolutely no aero helmets
e. Wheels no deeper than a Zipp 404 (58mm) - Para-Cyclists:
a. Physical Impairment:
- Amputees (those who have a limb deficiency whether from birth or acquired)
- Cerebral palsy/acquired brain injury or similar (hypertonia (spasticity), ataxia or athetosis)
- Spinal cord injuries (those who have an impairment due to loss of muscle strength)
- Les Autres (those who have loss of joint range of movement, short stature, leg or arm length difference)

c. Intellectual Impairment:
- IQ less than 75, adaptive behavior difficulties, acquired prior to 18 years of age - Results: The results are announced as quickly as possible after the last rider completes the event at the registration desk located at the entrance to the island.
